Relates to the practice of land surveying; upgrades the licensing requirements for land surveyors and revises the definition of land surveying as practicing that branch of the engineering profession and applied mathematics which includes the application of rules and regulations in accordance with certain local requirements; stipulates education requirements for licensing.

(4/2/08) California Public Records Act (AB 1978)
California's state legislature is considering a bill to amend the California Public Records Act.  The bill (AB 1978) was introduced on February 14, 2008 by State Assembly Member Jose Solorio, and may have implications on public access to geospatial information, for anyone, in or outside of California, who may want to obtain public records from California government agencies.
