Des Plaines, IL – [May 7, 2026] – The GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) proudly announces the successful induction of 53 new GISP-Es (Emerging GIS Professional). The completion of the program’s third cohort is another significant step in evolving professional development for the next generation of geographic information systems (GIS) practitioners.The passing rate for this session’s PreGISP® exam was 87%.

The GISP-E certification serves as a key entry point for individuals beginning their journey toward the full GISP® credential. It recognizes early-career professionals who demonstrate strong potential and commitment to advancing in the field of geospatial science and technology.
